Chart Your Course With a Wedding Map

A Savvy Event is so excited to introduce you to our Guest Blogger Laura Hooper! We are so excited that she is blogging today! Her work is amazing! So without further adieu ......we welcome Laura Hooper to aSe Blog........

Hi everyone, my name is Laura Hooper and I own Laura Hooper Calligraphy and run the Lucky Orchid Wedding blog . Thank you so much to the lovely girls of A Savvy Event for allowing me to guest blog today about utilizing maps for your event!

These adorable maps make great keepsakes for your family and friends, as well as serve the function of pointing out the places and locations you deem worthwhile for them to visit or be aware of during their stay at your event. Adding an itinerary to the back side clearly lays out what the schedule of events is like for the wedding, whether there is a Welcome Dinner, Wine Tasting, Rehearsal Dinner, pre-Wedding Cocktails, Reception, After Party, or Goodbye Brunch (etc, etc, etc) your guests are going to need to know when to be there and where to show up. This is also a great place to tell them minor details, like what to wear, to all these fabulous nuptial activities.

One of the easiest ways to incorporate your map is in the welcome basket. When you are working on your welcome baskets, no matter where your wedding is, you are going to want to include some sort of itinerary of fun-filled events to pre-occupy your guests who are coming into town for the wedding. It's possible that you are having a destination wedding and this makes it even more pertinent to give your guests ideas for activities while you and your husband-to-be and both your families obsess over the details in the days leading up to your wedding.

Maps with itineraries are frequently inserted into the wedding invitation itself, or sent out to the guests in the weeks leading up to the wedding, after the RSVPs come in. We are also getting a huge response to the Map Save the Date cards which come in different options to suit different budgets.

There are so many great uses for the maps , and they can be created according to the style of the clients' preference. The maps we create are completely custom, meaning, I do not have a map on hand for every city in the US, only the cities and venues other clients have commissioned maps for. Once you turn in your order your map is created just for you. I work with brides all over the country, by Internet and phone, to collaborate with them on the creation of a fabulous wedding keepsake.

Once your map is created, we can also have them made into Totes that serve as fabulous favors, coasters, wine labels, or blown up into frameable prints or even original watercolors that are also frame-able. The sky is really the limit in respect to these little works of art! I hope you'll take the time to check them out on my website, and thanks again A Savvy Event for allowing me to be a part of your gorgeous blog!

Thank you so much Laura for guest blogging with us today! Laura has worked with many of our clients and her maps are truly a work of art and are unique! It is a great way to personalize your wedding and add that extra little touch!

Thank you again!!!
